It-may-be-wise-to-check what-you-re-drinking

In our exercise this week, we have seized a consignment of 565 boxes on the Surat-Saputara-Nashik Highway where plastic bottles of imported brands were used and after testing it was found that the bottles were filled with alcohol of local brands," said Prasad Surve, state excise department, Nashik. Meanwhile, according to an excise department official it has also asked the railway police to be alert and keep a watch on trains coming from Gujarat and entering Maharashtra. The Nashik excise department earlier this week seized a consignment of imported liquor bottles of brands like Black Label, Red Label."We have alerted teams on the Surat-Saputara-Nashik Highway, especially because the highway passes through Silvassa, and it has been observed that consignments of alcohol are being loaded from there after mixing local alcohol in bottles of imported brands.

It may be wise to check what you’re drinking this New Year’s Eve. The excise department on the Gujarat border has formed flying squads that will conduct surprise checks on vehicles entering from Gujarat into Maharashtra on the eve of New Year. However, the state government had last week said that permit rooms, restaurants, lodges and swimming pools will no longer be required to apply for permissions from the police department for its operation. Also, Maharashtra has one of the highest excise duties levied in India. It may be wise to check what you’re drinking this New Year’s Eve. Gujarat being a dry state, its excise department becomes extra vigilant and, to avoid the seizure of the liquor, the smugglers start sending it into Maharashtra. For Mumbai, we have erected four check posts on the Dahanu-Golvad road and also it has come to our notice that the liquor smugglers take the help of ‘hawala traders’ who have good network in each and every village and city. The state excise department has increased its vigilance, anticipating smuggling of illicit liquor being transported in Maharashtra. The neighbouring states and Union territories like Daman, Diu and Goa have availability of liquor at cheaper rates and this could be one the reasons why Maharashtra becomes a favourite state for smuggled liquor," said an excise department official."The illegal trade becomes more active before New Year’s eve. What you think is imported liquor, could well be smuggled alcohol from Daman and Silvassa near China plastic bowl Suppliers Gujarat. Blenders Pride and Jack Daniel’s in which it was found that local liquor was being mixed and transported to Mumbai and Nashik. On the same lines, the Kolhapur excise department has also increased its vigilance on the Maharashtra-Goa border to check smuggling of liquor into Maharashtra. Those involved in these businesses still need to take the required permissions from the state excise department and civic body. It speaks of a dancer who stands on the foundation

At the institute I met a few students who even learn classical western forms like Ballet and Ballroom. Nalanda has more than justified his prophetic vision with this new addition. Nalanda Dance Research Centre is a non-profit public trust, it is a premier institution that enjoys a unique position in the world of dance and education.Nalanda this year celebrates its 50 glorious years, on this special occasion I met and congratulated my dear friend Bharatnatyaum exponent Uma Rele who is the Principal of this school that provides dance education to over 1000 dance lovers each year through Office organizer their full time and part time courses in Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Kathakali and Odissi. They say new generation brings in new light and new power, Vaidehi who is a bundle of energy was super excited to inform me that Nalanda had taken a new step ahead on its golden jubilee year, she said ‘this year we have introduced a new course called Movement Science, it is a degree, a Master of Fine Ats at the University of Mumbai, this course has everything in it from fitness programmes to exercise science to even Yoga, Kalaripayettu and other allied subjects.

It speaks of a dancer who stands on the foundation of Nalanda and is looking upward to the sky to soar on the wings of knowledge and success. Kanak Rele and her entire dance family wonderful years filled with loads of knowledge of dance. Seeing a traditional institute take a modern approach is indeed a refreshing change for the dancers of today, this new addition to Nalanda and its teaching methods truly proves the vision of visionary Dr. Moti Chandra had selected the motto and emblem for Nalanda. Acceptance of formal academics in dancing at the university level and recognition of dance as a full-fledged discipline for scientific research are the two pioneering achievements of Nalanda which have justifiably earned it the premier position. Kanak Rele who always believes in what the emblem of Nalanda showcases., the only dance institution to be so recognised. While I was talking to warm and friendly Uma Rele her dynamic dancer daughter Vaidehi Rele walked into the office.’ When you visit Nalanda the sounds of Ghungaroo along with Tabla, Mridangam and Manjeera catch your attention, but when you walk into a class room it is not just Indian classical dance history one see the students learn but, students are even taught the detailed evolution of western classical dance Ballet, shown videos of various Ballet shows to understand it better.
